All those AT&T subscribers waiting for their carrier to finally offer the Curve 8900 should be feeling pretty happy right now. Word on the street is that the Curve 8900 is heading to AT&T and this BlackBerry will be available in stores in June. The phone will not come with any different features compared to the T-Mobile version so it won’t surprise you in any way. The prices for the 8900 haven’t been announced yet but you should expect AT&T’s Curve 8900 to cost as much as the T-Mobile version.

iPod Charging get a new boost with this new Dexim iPhone/iPod Dual Clock Charging station. Power consumption has always been a problem for iPod/iPhone owners, often in need of a reliable charging station to use.
The Dexim Dual Dock Charging Station solves this problem with two dedicated power docks and a selection of adapters to fit every iPod/iPhone model except the shuffles. The day I brought mine from home to the office, someone announced over Twitter that one was needed. I pulled it out and we found the cradle adapter to fit and he was off to the races. With this setup on hand, any iPod/iPhone can be fully charged from stone dead to full in 60-90 minutes.
Included in the box is the unit itself, a power cable, and six dock inserts. Snapping them in and out is not intuitive, but once you pay attention to it once, you’ll be able to use them in no time. All the parts are held in vacu-formed clear plastic in a cardboard box. No Jaws of Life are required to extricate anything.

Technology never ceases to amaze us. We all know that Apple has expanded efforts to make the iPhone multi-functional but apparently now, an iPhone can even be used to conduct ultrasound exams thanks to a pair of engineers at Washington University in St. Louis. William D. Richard and David M. Zar have adapted an ultrasound probe that works on a half-watt of power from a cellphone.
That means that ultrasound exams could be conducted nearly anywhere while the image is piped to a doctor at a distant location. What makes this a big advance is not just the technology, but also its potential to greatly reduce the cost of ultrasound machines, making it practical to put them in pockets of E.M.T.’s, battlefield medics, school nurses and third-world obstetricians. Sprint will not only launch the Pre this year. Other phone worth mentioning are also going to be available from this carrier. One such example is the HTC Snap. It looks like Sprint will baptize it the HTC Snap S511 and it will launch it this summer. There’s no official release date available just yet but it’s being said that Sprint is testing the device already. We’ll have to wait for an official version and maybe for some prices too before we all get too excited for this QWERTY HTC phone.

Palm tried to launch its own respectable netbook and failed miserably. Remember the Palm Foleo? But know things could change for the unimpressive gadget. Palm is said to launch a Foleo running on webOS and packing inside a Gobi 3G chipset, an ARM CPU and a battery capable of offering you 8-10 hours of undisturbed, unplugged activities.
At least that’s what an analyst with Global Equities Research says:
Trip Chowdhry, an analyst with Global Equities Research, asserts in a note to clients today that Palm is doing exactly that: he says they intend to produce a $399 netbook that will run the Palm Web OS that debuts soon on the eagerly awaitingPre smartphone. Chowdhry says the device will use Qualcomm’s Gobi 3G wireless chip, ARM chipsets and have 8-10 hours of battery life. He says the device is being designed by three ex-Apple iPod guys. He also says the netbook will only support browser-based applications, and not “native applications.”
Will this Foleo version be worthy of your attention? We’re anxious to see how this one will look like. The netbook will cost around $399 or even less if purchased with carrier’s data plans. Or at least that’s the word on the street right now.

Yes, people, it is now confirmed that the Gemini is indeed the yet-to-be-official BlackBerry Curve 8520, that low-end smartphone we told you about a month back. But the Curve 8520 being in the lower segment has not deterred RIM from slipping in a few surprises, which could become regular features in any upcoming BlackBerry smartphones. The most glaring of these surprises would of course be the square-shaped optical trackball (something like Nokia’s navipad) which replaces the traditional trackball found on other RIM devices. The edges are now padded with rubber with rubberized keys for better durability. Ignoring the fact that this baby won’t be cruising any 3G waves, we definitely like what RIM has done otherwise. While the N96’s kickstand was just a bit of plastic to prop the handset up when displaying pictures or videos, the N86’s kickstand’s is in a different league altogether. The stand can be assigned to open up any application installed on the N86 when it is kicked out. So if you want a video player to launch every time you pop up the kickstand, you can do just that. Now, how cool is that? Just goes to show that it’s innovation like this that puts Nokia right above other manufacturers.
