T-Standee Charger

Accessories maker Thrustmaster has recently introduced two upcoming accessories for the new Nintendo DSi with the T-Standee Charger and T-Strap Charger. The former charges the DSi via a standard wall plug and doubles as an adjustable stand that can hold the device in either landscape or portrait orientation. The T-Strap Charger replaces the standard carrying strap of the DSi and can be removed to charge the portable gaming console from any USB port. The Thrustmaster T-Standee charger is priced at the equivalent of $17 and has a mid-June shipping date in Europe, while the T-Strap Charger is currently available, priced at the equivalent of nearly $11. LG W53 SMART Series LCD Monitor

LG Electronics, one of the leading manufacturers of business solutions has recently launched its newest LCD monitor series.

According to the press release, LG’s W53 SMART Monitor Series boasts of “cutting-edge SMART technologies” that, aside from providing the usual “top picture quality,” significantly reduces eyestrain.

The SMART Monitor series comes equipped with Auto Brightness feature which allows for automatic brightness adjustment. As a side plus, this feature reduces power consumption by lowering backlight intensity.

Electric vehicles (EVs) used to reside only in our wild imagination. But we will be seeing them roaming the street soon. Chrysler is set to launch its PeaPod electric car in 2010. This compact, battery-powered electric vehicle will be available on the market as a 1-seater, a 2-seater, or a utility van. Prices will start from around $20,000.

Developed by Chrysler’s Green Eco Mobility (GEM), this electric car can travel about 40 miles on one charging. According to Peter Arnell, Chrysler’s innovation chief, this is just right for most daily commutes. Read the rest of this entry »

The technology of today is slowly adapting to the changes that surround them.  As the world becomes greener with more people advocating for sustainable energy, a start-up company takes a risk and introduces what could be the world’s cheapest electric car.

The British company Bee has updated the techie universe with some new details on its affordable electric car called One, which is said to be sold at around £12,000 (US$17,700).  If the development goes on as planned, this four-seat, five-door vehicle will has a top speed of about 80 miles per hour and can drive up to 200 miles in a single charge.

Bee.One will run on two battery packs placed under the floor, which can also be easily swappable in the event charging stations become more available, or when new and better batteries become a more sensible option.  The Bee.One is also set to have a constant 3G constant cellular connection so you can monitor and be updated about the car’s performance system software.
