
The 12.1-inch Samsung NC20 netbook PC first revealed late in February is now available for purchase, priced at nearly $550. The computer features an unusually large 1280×800 display resolution and otherwise class-standard 160GB hard drive and 1GB of RAM. It most sharply breaks from the class average is via its use of a 1.3GHz VIA Nano processor instead of a much more common Intel Atom CPU. Otherwise, the large netbook includes a six-cell battery, which contributes to its 3.3lb weight, along with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth functionality, a VGA output and three USB ports. The operating system of choice is Windows XP Home. The integrated graphics processor is the VIA Chrome9 HC3 IGP that uses a shared 128MB of memory. Rounding out the feature set are a 1.3-megapixel camera, built-in speakers and a 3-in-1 memory card reader.

Samsung unveiled a new netbook Samsung N310 followed up on the recent launch of the NC20 for the world’s release in the coming months. Samsung netbook N310 has a 10.1-inch LCD display and through a much bolder design with all-rounded edges, bright colors and a very conspicuous Samsung logo, 5 hour battery life on a stock battery that grows to 11 hours on an extended pack and the weight of this netbook is 1.23 kilograms, but it looks quite thick. Interested in a premium netbook? Samsung apparently has one which was announced today, the N310. It weighs 2.71 pounds and comes with an undisclosed Intel Atom processor, a 10.1-inch LCD display, 160GB hard drive, 5 hours of battery lofe, WiFi, Bluetooth, HSPA and WiBro connectivity, a 1.3 megapixel webcam, and three USB ports. So where’s the really premium part? Is it the price?

Mobility is enhanced by 802.11b/g and Bluetooth wireless connectivity, and a six-cell battery that provides up to 6.5 hours of use independent of any power supply, while storage options include either a solid state disk or a SATA hard disk drive. Other features include an integrated 1.3 mega-pixel digital motion camera, 3-in-1 memory card reader and three built-in USB ports.
